Backyard garbage rates to double in Piedmont

Waste Management declined to bid, saying “backyard service would place an extraordinary amount of injury risk to our employees.” Richmond Sanitary's current rates are $55.11 per month for curbside 35-gallon garbage containers, and $61.08 per month for backyard pickup of the same size.
