Everything You Wanted To Know About Local Trash

Recycling was introduced in the U.S. fifty years ago. In the decades since then, local jurisdictions have gone from throwing away 100 percent of their waste in landfills or incinerators to diverting a share of it to recycling plants and composting facilities. How are our local jurisdictions doing in this regard?
